Erin St. Blaine (she/her) is a mixed-media artist who works with LED lights and sculptures to create immersive, magical experiences. Her latest installation, Mermaid Glimmer’s Jellyfish Grotto, features one hundred iridescent jellyfish suspended in mid-air, casting mesmerizing light patterns during the day and vibrant, animated colors at night. This installation symbolizes the fragile beauty of the ocean and highlights the impact of rising sea levels and climate change, encouraging viewers to reflect on their role in protecting our oceans.

Sacramento’s supportive arts community has been essential to St. Blaine’s growth as an artist, from Second Saturday Art Walks to the city’s strong maker network. The city’s mermaid community, including Dive Bar’s underwater performances and the California Mermaid Convention, has also provided an inspiring space for her ocean-themed work to thrive.

Displaying her art at Arden Fair is a unique opportunity to reach a wider audience outside of galleries. St. Blaine hopes to inspire wonder and thought about environmental issues while fostering community connections in this unexpected setting.
